What Drives Entrepreneurs, and What Drives You?

This semester went by so fast and I think ENT3003 is one of my favorite if not my favorite classes I took this spring! I realized you learn a lot about yourself in this class and think about some things I never thought of before! I never really considered myself as the creative type because I have much more of a mathematical working brain but this class really pushed my limits and forced me to be creative and think outside the box.

Having to create my own business concept and decide what I would want to do as an entrepreneur is the best experience I had in this class and something I will remember for a long time. I'm proud of finding different ways to make my business concept fit into the assignments because it is much different than coming up with a straight forward and simple product. This forced be to think more in order to make sure my organization would be successful and meaningful.

I definitely think I have gained an entrepreneurial mindset from this course and gave me a whole different perspective on all of the elements and aspects that go into having your own business and how hard it actually is to be successful in this type of environment. I liked reading biographies about famous entrepreneurs and realizing how hard they had it before ever becoming successful. I would definitely say I think like an entrepreneur and emphasize the importance of hard work and not giving up on your ideas.

For future students of this course I would definitely say be creative and put effort into every assignment in order to get the most out of this class. This class is very hands on and I like that Professor Pryor allows you to kind of create your own schedule and format of when and how you do these assignments. Being creative and thinking outside of the box is important in this class in order to learn as much as I did.

  1. Kalie,
I completely agree with you that this class has been one of the best experiences for me and was challenging yet fun at the same time. I have never really thought out any of the ideas that I have had (in this much detail) and it helped me to put my thoughts on paper and really evaluate them each week.

  2. Kalie,
I also really enjoyed this class. I agree that one should take advantage and be creative with the assignments as that is how you will get a lot out of it. You did a great job this semester. I enjoyed your work!

  3. Hey Kalie, I agree with what you were saying when you said this class has you think outside the box. It is nothing like I thought it would be, the assignments are more about teaching you the concept rather than forcing you to remember terms. I also like how Professor Pryor allows us to make our own schedule and complete the work on our own terms.
